Thus, the iPad 3 with slightly thicker 9.4mm (iPad 2 was 8.8mm) and slightly heavier with 652 grams (iPad 2 was 601 grams). In principle, most cases have yet to adjust, and Apple has already indicated that the Smart Cover for the iPad 2 just yet can be used for the iPad 3.
